Nero began his career as an interior designer while still studying at the art academy in Florence. He then worked in the advertising industry. His works were also used into TV commercials for Mulino Bianco, Giochi Preziosi, Bratz, LellyKelly. At the same time he worked as assistant-colorist to the great Simone Peruzzi on Astonishing X-Men and Thor (published by Marvel Comics). Since August 2008 he works as a freelance designer and illustrator. Among his clients we can mention Disney Italy and Editrice Scolastica. Recently he has dedicated the most of his artwork to the illustration sector. He realizes covers and pin-ups for various magazines, as well as being demanded as a portraitist in the private sector. Along with his work as a designer, frequently plays the role of external teacher in elementary, middle and high schools and, on request, organizes art courses in collaboration with “L’ESULE- academia del fumetto” a nonprofit organization of his hometown.
